One of the thirteen New Gods, Belinasa is worshiped with domains of Nobility, Pride, and Beauty. In her mortal life as Belinasa Ti'al, she became the leader of the Knights of Alestraxia, and was an heir to oen of Idryllia's oldest human noble lines, descending from the Lost King.
Persona and Relations[]
- A strict adherer to traditiosn and hierarchy, Belinasa efforts are often conducted in smaller methodical steps. She is prone to a level of overconfindence and unwillingness to neotiate as well. She directs her church to find worthy individuals, and support their rulership over the lower castes, who would otherwise tear the world apart in greed and violence.
- She works closely with Valar, whom she was betrothed to in mortal life, before his death. The Elder Dragons Khazad and Mordra also recognize her bloodline, and denote respect her way as well. She has some disagreements with Thaera who prefers the personal freedom of all beings. She despises Mizail, Dessecar, and Sil'nasyr, all of whom she blames for Valar's mortal death, and actively opposes the Primordials that killed her ancestors and took away her chance to rule.
History[]
Age of Reclamation[]
- Belinasa was born early in the Age of Reclamation. Trained under the Knights of Alestraxia, she progressed well, and was one of the yougnest ever to take the Trial of Command, passing the tests and traps to receive benediction from the Heart of Alestraxia.
- She would remain in command of the Knights until the seven companions arrived at Manae seeking the Heart. Unwilling to simply hand it over, but recognizing their need, she demanded they succeed in the Trial themselves. Elias Valar volunteeered for the task and reached the Heart in a record time, impressing all the Knights greatly. Belinasa placed herself under his service, and became the eighth companion on their quest.
- Along the course of their quest, Belinasa's admiration would deepen toa love, and the two became betrothed. However their union was not to be, as in the battle at Black Sands, Sil'nasyr betrayed the companions and sealed them behind a wall while Valar faced the Revenants alone, to his eventual death.
- Belinasa and the remaining companions would noentheless recover the Dark Source's vessel, and proceeded to Hallows Gate to banish it. In the great battle that took place in the dead realm,, she led the companions against the attacking forces of Xan, and with the aid of Valar (now a Revenant) and other goodly souls, they managed enough of a victory to have a window to dispatch the vessel into the Gate.
Age of Mortals[]
- When Eli convinced them to remain in Akrylonor, to offset the powers of Laycindarius, and the unbanishable Dark Revenants, Belinasa took as her mantle teh aspects of nobility, beauty and pride. Though she remains close to Valar, their union was joined. Her following is thus far rather small. Valdrent holds some worshippers, and the Knights of Alestraxia regard her as a saint of sorts, while still venerating the dragon queen.
