Akrylonor's roots lie in a Neverwinter Nights server named at varying times, Nyx, and Bid for Transcendence. Originally created by Michael Ryne (Internet games and all, this may not be an accurate name), that contained the original form of Ergo (now Aergoth) vs Lecit (now Laycin) as a city of warriors feuding with a city of mages, and a northern village of halflings that was largely unexplained. Seth would join the team (originally having played the character Kalen Stormwind) and contribute the Beastmen early on. When Ryne departed to mod Halflife (if I remember right), the existing team split in two, and while the second team faded away, Seth and Daniel Mann would go on to make Age of Knowledge, a more story focused prequel server.
Age of Knowledge would flesh out the Ergo empire and establish Lecit's prior status as Ergo's Arcane Society. Hosting troubles, and our haphazard conceptualization of the story would lead to an evnetual shutdown though. Seth later refined the storyline, and it became the tale of The Companions.
Now with a setting largely written on his hands, Seth would depart from Neverwinter Nights, and began to refine it further, using it for a series of three PnP Campaigns (covering the Second Daemon War, the New Church, and the Banishment of the Dark Source). While elements of the other projects remain, the setting is now progessed into the sixth Age of Mortals.
Also in the vein of co-credits, the NPCs listed below all found their origin as player characters, and while Seth doesn't even know all their proper names to credit, they're worth acknowledging.
